The Community Outreach Associate (COA) supports Vanguard's Active Ageing Centre by engaging seniors through outreach, befriending, and programme participation. The role assists in delivering AAC services, supporting volunteer/micro-jobber engagement, and ensuring smooth ground operations to help seniors stay active, healthy, and socially connected, while contributing to the AAC's service standards and KPI outcomes.

Responsibilities:
1. Community Activation and Senior Engagement
- Conduct outreach including door-knocking, home-visits, befriending, and follow-up with seniors in the assigned boundaries.
- Build rapport and motivate seniors to participate in AAC programmes and screenings.
- Support identification of seniors who require follow-up, referral, or escalation as required.
- Support community activation efforts (e.g., block engagement and events).
2. Programme Support & Implementation
- Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering Active Ageing programmes that meet seniors needs and interests.
- Handle programme logistics: setup, registration, attendance, materials, equipment.
- Ensure inclusive participation and assist seniors who need additional guidance.
3. Outreach, Screening and Basic Referrals
- Provide basic information to seniors and caregivers on AAC services, preventive health, and available community resources.
- Assist in community screening events (registration, flow, seniors support).
- Document observations and escalate as appropriate, for formal assessment or referral.
4. Volunteer & Micro-jobber Support
- Support onboarding and orientation of volunteers and micro-jobbers involved in AAC programmes and outreach.
- Assist to coordinate volunteer deployment and providing on-site guidance.
- Model positive engagement behaviours and maintain a welcoming environment for volunteers and seniors.
5. Operations, Administration & Compliance
- Attend to walk-in, phone, and WhatsApp enquiries from seniors and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate data for outreach, attendance, screening, and follow-up activities.
- Support administrative tasks (procurement documents, claims support, filing).
- Undertake any other duties assigned to support AAC operations and community engagement.
Requirements
- Minimum GCE A-Level / Diploma in any discipline.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills comfortable engaging seniors.
- Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Organised, dependable, and attentive to detail in event and data tasks.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced community environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office comfortable with simple CRM or digital documentation.
- Willing to work occasional evenings/weekends for community events.
- Experience in community work, eldercare, outreach, customer service, or programme support preferred.
