Responsibilities
We are looking for a candidate with strong marketing and communications skills to drive initiatives that project a refreshed Mediacorp, foster employee pride and purpose and build trust and preference for Mediacorp among clients and partners and in the community.
Scope of the role
Working closely with business units and the rest of the broader integrated marketing and communications team, the candidate is responsible for managing the company's internal and external communications including media relations, enhancing its corporate brand positioning, creating compelling brand narratives and planning and executing effective product Comms campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Support Marketing and Communications overall objectives
- Formulate integrated marketing and communications strategies leveraging mainstream media, social media and other platforms to build employer branding, community engagement and customer experience
- Plan and develop a pipeline of content and communication materials (e.g. media releases, social media posts, conference and townhall presentations) to tell Mediacorp stories
- Create key messages, speeches and statements for senior management and key stakeholders at events and announcements
- Manage crisis communications
- Provide strategic advice to business units on stakeholder communications
- Monitor and drive the performance of our communications efforts
Functional Competencies
- Good understanding of communications strategies and hands-on experience in execution
- Strong project management skills and strong sense of ownership
- Understanding of the role data and analytics play in corporate marketing; ability to support a data-driven culture within the team
- Possess excellent English writing and verbal skills, and a strong command of a second language, ideally Malay as the role handles primarily Malay Audience Comms alongside with English + CSR Comms
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, complex multiplatform environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from a recognised university
- 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in branding and marketing communications within complex, multi-product environments and experience in journalism will be regarded favourably.
