Responsibilities
About the Team As part of the Communications team for Enterprise Products, you'll play a critical role in shaping the public perception and strategic narrative for ByteDance's growing suite of enterprise products and services, including BytePlus and Lark. In this role, you will spearhead the development of global communications strategies to enhance the visibility of enterprise products in APAC, EMEA, and other key markets. You will collaborate with regional teams to customize strategies and messaging for their respective markets. Additionally, you will serve as the primary contact for cross-functional teams, providing regular advice and guidance. You will advise spokespeople and be capable of formulating targeted media strategies, narratives, and messaging for enterprise business audiences, which can promote business priorities and strengthen our brand and market positioning. You will also be responsible for developing and strengthening media relations with global journalists and handling media inquiries regarding our enterprise products. You hold a strategic mindset and effective execution capabilities to achieve our communications objectives and develop meaningful and impactful programs to build trust in ByteDance's enterprise products. - Support global communications work for enterprise products, including planning, messaging, media relations, and partner communications. - Develop press materials and assets including spokesperson briefing books, media pitches, FAQs to properly position enterprise products collaborate with regional teams to adapt for their markets - Build awareness of enterprise products through media and industry-facing initiatives - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop media strategies for tentpole events, strategic partnership announcements and thought leadership opportunities. - Serve as a trusted advisor to internal partners and senior leaders across enterprise product teams, providing regular communications counsel. - Prepare executive spokespersons for media engagement, industry events, and external speaking opportunities. - Manage industry-facing or public engagement and provide counsel to partner-facing teams. - Manage inbound media inquiries on a range of issues while proactively fostering relationships with key B2B, trade, and technology press. - Work with internal teams to monitor media coverage and industry trends to provide actionable insights that guide communications, marketing and product launch strategies.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s) - 3-5+ years of experience in public relations or strategic communications, ideally within the tech, media, or B2B product sectors. - Demonstrated experience operating in global, matrixed organizations with sensitivity to cultural and regulatory nuances. - Proven ability to lead communications campaigns across B2B, consumer, or agency environments and experience with issues management and crisis communications. - Skilled at preparing, training, and advising business partners for media interviews and speaking engagements. - An established network of relationships with key media outlets and journalists, particularly in the tech and business sectors. - Proven ability to build trust and work effectively with stakeholders - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. Preferred Qualification(s) - Experience working in the cloud or tech industries. - Experience scaling PR campaigns across multiple regions. - Proficient in collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior leadership. - Ability to adapt quickly and make sound judgments in critical scenarios. - A strong understanding of geopolitical nuances and experience supporting multiple markets across Asia is a plus.
