United Women Singapore Limited (UWS) is a local non-profit organisation with IPC status that

advances women's empowerment and gender equality and builds a pipeline of women

leaders and influencers in Singapore. The organisation has been operating for over 27

years and works towards narrowing the gender equality gap through education and

raising awareness and advocacy on issues such as women's empowerment through

education and engagement, with the support of key stakeholders including corporate

partners, government agencies, academia, the diplomatic community, other non-profit

and community groups and the wider community.

Job Description
The Communications & Digital Engagement Senior Associate / Associate will lead the

organisation's storytelling efforts, manage external and internal communications, and

drive digital engagement strategies to connect with key stakeholders, including donors,

partners, beneficiaries, and the public. The role involves a high degree of digital marketing

expertise, graphics / art direction, public and media relations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Communications & Content Strategy
. Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with

the organisation's goals.

. Create compelling content for press releases, newsletters, annual reports, and donor

communications.

. Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all communication channels.

. Manage media relations, including drafting press releases, press kits, keynote

presentations, and coordinating interviews.

2. Digital & Social Media Engagement

. Oversee the organisation's social media strategy, managing platforms such as

Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

. Develop engaging digital content (graphics, videos, blogs) to increase online

engagement.

. Monitor trends and analytics to optimise content performance and audience

engagement.

. Manage EDMs, donor updates, and online programme efforts.

3. Website & Digital Content Management

. Maintain and update the organisation's website, ensuring relevant and engaging

content.

. Optimise website content for SEO to improve online visibility.

. Collaborate with designers and developers to enhance user experience and

accessibility.

4. Event Communications & Publicity

. Support communications and marketing efforts for fundraising events, awareness

campaigns, and community initiatives.
. Create event-related content, including promotional materials, social media updates,

and post-event reports.

. Coordinate and manage the relationships with public relations firms and creative

agencies to assist with events.

5. Stakeholder & Community Engagement

. Work with the team to develop communication strategies to engage donors,

volunteers, corporate partners, and beneficiaries, and ensure their implementation.

. Manage storytelling initiatives, capturing impact stories from beneficiaries,

volunteers, and partners.

. Support fundraising and programme campaigns by crafting compelling narratives.

. Monitor public perception and provide recommendations for reputation

management.

6. General

. Manage the development of a rich content library including videos, personal stories,

statistics, infographics, images and other materials for use in both online and offline

collateral.

. Maintain clear channels of communication within the team and the organisation.

Requirements
Qualification and Skills
. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or

equivalent

. Over 2 years of experience in the relevant roles, or digital engagement

. Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills with attention to detail

. Proficiency in digital tools such as email marketing platforms, content management systems.

. Proficiency in graphic design and video editing skills such as Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite.

. Working knowledge of inbound marketing, including digital media analytics, search

engine optimisation, as well as advertising and analytics tools, Google AdWords and

Google Analytics

. Experience working with content producers and overseeing and managing digital campaigns.

. Collaborative work style with a highly creative and driven imagination.

. Must be Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
