Job Description

Overview of Job Scope
The Communications & Donor Partnerships Support supports New Life's fundraising work by helping with donor communications, corporate partnerships, and fundraising events/campaigns. Reporting to the Fundraising Lead, you will coordinate between donors/partners and internal service teams to ensure donors receive timely updates and that support is matched to programme needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Donor Communications & Relationship Management

  • Respond to donor enquiries (individuals and companies), send thank-you messages, follow up when needed, and share updates on New Life's programmes and impact.
  • Coordinate with internal service teams to answer donor questions and communicate programme needs and results clearly.

2. Fundraising Events (Execution, Coordination & Financial Stewardship)

  • Support the coordination and delivery of fundraising events, including liaising with vendors, venues, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Assist with event publicity, donor invitations, on-the-day logistics, and post-event follow-up (thank-you notes, updates, and basic reporting).
  • Track event budgets and expenses, and maintain clear documentation (e.g., quotations, invoices, receipts) in line with internal guidelines.

3. Donor Management, Reporting & Administration

  • Keep donor records up to date and well-organised in our donor database and online giving platforms.
  • Help track basic fundraising numbers (e.g., donations received, campaign results, repeat donors) and highlight trends.
  • Support preparation of simple reports and updates on donor activity and campaign outcomes for management and the board.

4. Digital Giving & Campaign Support

  • Support the set-up, maintenance, and promotion of digital giving platforms.
  • Work with the communications/content team to support fundraising content across channels (e.g., donor updates and impact stories).

5. Internal Coordination & Alignment

  • Coordinate between donors and internal service teams so everyone is clear on programme needs and the impact of donations.
  • Turn programme updates and impact information into clear, donor-friendly messages.
  • Provide administrative and writing support for major grant applications as needed.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing or Business Studies.
  • Strong written and verbal English proficiency.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience in partnerships, fundraising, or events management.
  • Experience in the social service or nonprofit sector is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and basic fundraising or campaign data to track performance and support reporting.
  • Ability to manage donor-facing communications and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Capability to support the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising events, including logistics and vendor liaison.
  • Strong attention to detail in managing donor data, documentation, reporting, and compliance-related processes
  • Ability to track expenses, support budget discipline, and work within fundraising governance and regulatory requirements
