Overview of Job Scope
The Communications & Donor Partnerships Support supports New Life's fundraising work by helping with donor communications, corporate partnerships, and fundraising events/campaigns. Reporting to the Fundraising Lead, you will coordinate between donors/partners and internal service teams to ensure donors receive timely updates and that support is matched to programme needs.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Donor Communications & Relationship Management
- Respond to donor enquiries (individuals and companies), send thank-you messages, follow up when needed, and share updates on New Life's programmes and impact.
- Coordinate with internal service teams to answer donor questions and communicate programme needs and results clearly.
2. Fundraising Events (Execution, Coordination & Financial Stewardship)
- Support the coordination and delivery of fundraising events, including liaising with vendors, venues, internal teams, and external partners.
- Assist with event publicity, donor invitations, on-the-day logistics, and post-event follow-up (thank-you notes, updates, and basic reporting).
- Track event budgets and expenses, and maintain clear documentation (e.g., quotations, invoices, receipts) in line with internal guidelines.
3. Donor Management, Reporting & Administration
- Keep donor records up to date and well-organised in our donor database and online giving platforms.
- Help track basic fundraising numbers (e.g., donations received, campaign results, repeat donors) and highlight trends.
- Support preparation of simple reports and updates on donor activity and campaign outcomes for management and the board.
4. Digital Giving & Campaign Support
- Support the set-up, maintenance, and promotion of digital giving platforms.
- Work with the communications/content team to support fundraising content across channels (e.g., donor updates and impact stories).
5. Internal Coordination & Alignment
- Coordinate between donors and internal service teams so everyone is clear on programme needs and the impact of donations.
- Turn programme updates and impact information into clear, donor-friendly messages.
- Provide administrative and writing support for major grant applications as needed.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Diploma or degree in Marketing or Business Studies.
- Strong written and verbal English proficiency.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant work experience in partnerships, fundraising, or events management.
- Experience in the social service or nonprofit sector is an advantage.
- Comfortable working with numbers and basic fundraising or campaign data to track performance and support reporting.
- Ability to manage donor-facing communications and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Capability to support the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising events, including logistics and vendor liaison.
- Strong attention to detail in managing donor data, documentation, reporting, and compliance-related processes
- Ability to track expenses, support budget discipline, and work within fundraising governance and regulatory requirements
