Commodity Manager (ME: Sheet Metal/Fabrication)

Overview

Our client is an industry leading (US-listed MNC) in the industrial manufacturing sector. Currently looking for an strategic procurement professional to design and execute commodity management strategies for their mechanical spend (sheet metal & fabrication).

At this position you will be responsible for Commodity Management Strategy, Contract and Risk Management, Spend Analysis, People Development, drive best Procurement practices, and entire Supplier Management cycle (sourcing, qualification, negotiation, onboarding, evaluation, development, etc.)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ideally Mechanical or other relevant fields (Master's degree/MBA good to have)
• 7+ years of experience in Commodity Management/Strategic Sourcing role managing Mechanical spend (Sheet metal and Fabrication) within industrial/equipment manufacturing sector
• Strong communication (influencing & negotiation) skills in English and Mandarin to efficiently liaise with Chinese suppliers
• Experience in Global MNCs working across different time zones (US & Europe)
• Ability to read mechanical drawings/specs and communicate with R&D, Engineering, and Suppliers at a strong technical level
• Track record delivering cost savings/avoidance targets
• People Management experience is good to have (2-3 pax)

Remuneration

• 9,000 to 12,000 SGD base per month + AWS + allowances + Performance Bonus

*Negotiable depending on experience and suitability
