Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commodities Agricultural analyst to support the Portfolio Manager in the analysis and trading of the Agricultural universe in the commodities space
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Build, enhance, and maintain commodities related infrastructure using Python, Bloomberg and Excel.
- Monitor and analyze market movements across the Agricultural universe globally.
- Analyze the impact of corporate actions on the price of underlying commodities.
- Monitor and execute trades of the Agricultural-focused commodities book
- Develop investment views and trading recommendations based on macro and micro market developments.
- Research and manage emerging trends in the commodities space.
- Constantly communicate with the sellside and industry network for up-to-date news on the commodities space.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least three years of experience managing a commodities agriculture focused book
- At least three years of hands-on experience analyzing the agriculture market
- At least three years of experience with backtesting strategies related to commodities
- Experience trading Agricultural products in Emerging Markets
- Experience working with Python, Bloomberg and Excel
- Experience of how to leverage relative-value trading, backtesting, and other quantitative and/or discretionary methods of trading the commodities market
