1. Project Planning & Management

  • Plan, source and allocate manpower required for project completion.

  • Develop and implement commissioning execution plans, procedures, and schedules aligned with overall project milestones.

  • Define system boundaries, sequence of commissioning, and interface with construction and operations teams.

  • Review and approve commissioning documentation, test packs, and completion dossiers.

  • Lead commissioning readiness reviews and coordinate system handover between Construction, Commissioning, and Operations.

2. Technical & Operational Leadership

  • Supervise multi-disciplinary commissioning teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, process, and marine).

  • Ensure commissioning works are carried out in accordance with design intent, safety standards, and client specifications.

  • Monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and resolve technical issues promptly to maintain project schedule.

  • Coordinate with OEMs and vendors during equipment pre-commissioning, functional testing, and troubleshooting.

3. HSE & Quality Compliance

  • Enforce compliance with HSE procedures during commissioning and start-up activities.

  • Lead risk assessments and ensure permits, isolation procedures, and safety controls are in place.

  • Verify all systems meet quality, class, and regulatory standards before handover to operations.

4. Documentation & Handover

  • Manage system completion records, punch list clearance, and as-built documentation.

  • Ensure smooth transition from commissioning to operations, including training of operations personnel.

  • Prepare final commissioning reports and lessons learned documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering (or equivalent discipline).

  • Minimum 8-10 years experience in commissioning roles within the FPSO/FSO, offshore production, or shipyard environment.

  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on large-scale offshore conversion or new-build projects.

  • Strong understanding of process systems, control systems, marine utilities, and topside equipment.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
