We are looking for an experienced Site Commissioning Engineer with strong expertise in water and wastewater treatment systems to support major onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects, including FPSO facilities.
This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced commissioning professional who can lead testing, commissioning and startup activities from planning through successful system handover and facility startup.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of commissioning and startup plans for water and wastewater systems.
- Develop and review procedures for testing, cleaning, commissioning and initial startup of plant equipment and systems.
- Manage coordination with clients, vendors, subcontractors and project teams during system completion, commissioning and startup.
- Lead offshore commissioning activities and provide support during facility startup.
- Manage commissioning documentation, including commissioning records, test results, as-built documentation, O&M inputs and design feedback.
- Prepare and deliver training programs and materials for process plant equipment and systems.
- Attend and contribute to progress and commissioning meetings.
- Compile commissioning dossiers, deliverables, reports and handover documentation.
- Identify and report safety issues and actively contribute to improving safe working practices.
- Maintain effective working relationships across engineering, construction, operations, vendors and client organizations.
- Contribute to the capture and sharing of technical and project knowledge.
- Maintain continuous professional development and stay current with industry technologies, standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater treatment.
- Proven experience in onshore/offshore Oil & Gas projects and/or FPSO facilities.
- Strong practical knowledge of plant testing, commissioning and startup.
- Demonstrated experience leading commissioning activities and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel to offshore project sites and perform offshore commissioning/startup activities.
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
