As a Commis Chef, you'll be an essential part of our kitchen team. You'll support prep and service with consistency, care, and discipline - learning from our senior chefs while building your foundation in classical techniques and Filipino flavours. This is a role for someone hungry to grow and excited to be part of something meaningful.
Your Role
Kitchen Operations
- Support the Sous Chef and Chef de Partie to ensure smooth kitchen operations throughout the day.
- Prepare and execute dishes to the restaurant's standards.
- Carry out daily prep tasks including:
Washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits
Cleaning and portioning meats and seafood
Preparing sauces, condiments, and other components - Perform general kitchen duties:
Setting up and cleaning kitchen equipment
Dishwashing and sanitation
Cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas
Waste sorting and disposal - Follow food safety and hygiene protocols at all times.
- Receive and check deliveries against order sheets and quality standards.
- Handle kitchen tools with care and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain personal hygiene and grooming to company standards.
- Support the service team in setup or service if operations permit.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef or Head Chef.
Who You Are
- Have a genuine interest in cooking and a willingness to learn.
- Possess basic knowledge of kitchen procedures and food handling.
- Able to follow recipes, portion control, and plating standards.
- Show good knife skills and understanding of mise en place.
- Work well under pressure with strong time management.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and consistent in your work.
- A team player who communicates well and takes direction with openness.
- Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness standards.
Working Hours
- 5 working days per week
- Fixed off-days: Sunday & Monday
