Job Description

Commis / Demi Chef de Partie

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and cooking of food to the restaurant specific standards
  • Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients.
  • Assist in maintaining stock control and minimizing waste.
  • Ensure timely and efficient service to maintain the flow of the kitchen.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in and around all culinary work areas
  • Always maintain a professional and positive attitude towards team members and supervisors.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as requested.

Requirements:

  • Excellent attitude and very hardworking
  • Very passionate about food
  • Attentive to details and meticulous to ensure smooth operations with minimal errors
  • Good interpersonal skills so as to build good working relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
