Job Description

Japanese Restaurant - Looking for Commis / Chef de Partie

Working Hours:

44 hours per week

Work Days:

5 days work, 2 off days

Meals:

Provided

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Head and Sous Chefs to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.

  • Prepare, portion, and present dishes according to recipes and standards.

  • Maintain awareness of all menu items, recipes, and presentation methods.

  • Check and ensure sufficient ingredients, equipment, and supplies for daily operations.

  • Store all food properly and handle ingredients safely.

  • Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.

  • Assist with equipment maintenance and regular cleaning.

  • Support inventory counts and record food wastage.

  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality food.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Basic Food Hygiene Certification

  • Prior kitchen experience is an advantage.

  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Positive attitude, coachable, and eager to learn.
