Oversee all commercial activities across road construction projects, ensuring alignment with contract terms and project timelines
Prepare, review, and submit progress claims in accordance with contract requirements and project milestones
Track and manage project budgets, flagging variances and recommending corrective measures to senior management
Evaluate subcontractor claims and work closely with procurement teams to ensure cost-effective contract administration
Assess commercial risks on ongoing and upcoming projects, putting in place mitigation strategies where necessary
Coordinate with project and site teams to gather accurate cost and progress data for monthly reporting
Support the preparation and negotiation of variation orders, ensuring proper documentation and approval workflows
Liaise with clients, consultants, and relevant authorities on commercial and contractual matters throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain accurate records of all contract correspondence, claims, and commercial decisions in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
Contribute to tendering activities by reviewing contract terms, preparing cost estimates, and providing commercial input during bid preparation
Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant commercial management experience in road or civil construction projects
Proficiency in contract management systems, and familiarity with Singapore standard forms of contract (e.g. FIDIC, SIA, PWD) prior exposure to LTA projects and an understanding of LTA contract administration procedures is strongly preferred
Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
