Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all Company and/or project goals are properly communicated to and acted upon by all Cost personnel.
- Constantly review the processes of Costing to improve productivity and accuracy of cost analysis.
- Ensure Costing Section provide an excellent support service to the project teams.
- Establish and maintain the organization of the Costing Section.
- Plan, develop and supervise all cost functions.
- Guide the establishment of the project budgets and project control tools.
- Identify in a timely manner and assist in the recruitment of new resources as necessary.
- Facilitate efficient resource deployment within the Costing Section.
- Implement a standard costing structure and ensure that all projects adhere to this standard.
- In coordination with HR, ensure career development is promoted for all employees within the Costing Section.
- Liaise with Subcontracts Department to monitor, control and prevent inaccurate costing.
- Maintain and promote good customer business relationship for long term business opportunities.
- Perform periodical project audits directly or through subordinates to ensure progress is accurately being reported by the project management team.
- Provide guidance and coaching to Costing Engineers to improve their skill in effective invoice negotiation with subcontractors and close monitoring of profit margin and costing.
- Responsible for development and implementation of project cost standards and procedures.
- Ensure that cost methods are standardized and proper training is administered.
- Support Costing Engineers during negotiation with subcontractors on invoice settlement.
- When required by the Vice President (Commercial), deal with claims and insurance matters.
- Ensure that all standard operating procedures comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Any other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in any Engineering disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as project control manager
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
