About The Role

What You'll Do

The Commercial Finance Lead plays a critical strategic business partnering role within the organization, driving sustainable growth, profitability, and commercial decision-making across Singapore, Malaysia & Brunei markets.

This role acts as a trusted advisor to Commercial, Sales, Marketing, and Channel leaders by translating financial insights into strategic actions that improve business performance and accelerate growth opportunities. The Commercial Finance Lead is expected to influence key business decisions through forward-looking analysis, commercial insights, and financial stewardship while balancing profitability and market competitiveness.

The role requires a highly analytical and commercially driven finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment and can effectively partner with senior stakeholders across multiple functions

Key Responsibilities

. Serve as a strategic finance business partner to Commercial and Cross-Functional teams to drive profitable growth and support business priorities

. Lead commercial financial planning, performance analysis, and strategic evaluation across channels, customers, and product portfolios

. Provide financial leadership and insights to support pricing strategies, customer negotiations, promotional investments, and route-to-market initiatives

. Drive value creation through robust profitability analysis across brands, packs, channels, and customers

. Partner with Commercial and Marketing teams to evaluate trade promotions, rebates, and commercial investments to ensure strong ROI and effectiveness

. Lead financial assessment and business case development for new product launches, innovation projects, and commercial initiatives

. Influence strategic decision-making through scenario planning, forecasting, trend analysis, and risk/opportunity identification

. Support long-term business planning and annual budgeting processes by providing actionable commercial and financial insights

. Build and enhance financial models, dashboards, and reporting capabilities to improve visibility, forecasting accuracy, and decision-making

. Drive automation, simplification, and continuous improvement initiatives within commercial finance reporting and analytics processes

. Lead monthly commercial performance reviews with stakeholders, identifying key drivers and recommending corrective actions where required

. Ensure strong governance and financial controls over trade spend, deductions management, and commercial investments

. Collaborate closely with regional and functional stakeholders to align financial strategies with broader business objectives

. Mentor and guide junior finance team members while fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture

EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS

What You Bring

. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline

. Ideally 6-8 years of experience in Commercial Finance, FPNA, or Finance Business Partnering within FMCG or other fast-paced commercial environments

. Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to influence and challenge business stakeholders

. Demonstrated experience in strategic business partnering and cross-functional collaboration

. Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities

. Experience supporting pricing strategies, trade investment analysis, and profitability management

. Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, and data analytics/reporting tools

. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with ability to manage and interpret complex datasets

. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex financial insights into actionable recommendations

. Agile, proactive, and results-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail

. Experience managing ambiguity and operating effectively in a dynamic business environment

. Proficient in English
