Support the Commercial Assistant Manager and Manager in overseeing commercial activities and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations across managed vessels.
Assist in reviewing and maintaining compliance with management agreements, ensuring alignment with operational and commercial objectives.
Coordinate closely with the operations and agency teams to gather accurate and timely data for commercial reporting and billing.
Liaise with internal departments such as Technical, Operations, and Finance to consolidate commercial information and ensure clarity in reporting.
Maintain communication with clients and owners, supporting relationship management and follow-ups on commercial matters.
Support the continual improvement of internal commercial procedures and workflows by identifying inefficiencies and proposing enhancements.
Participate in ad-hoc projects and tasks assigned by senior commercial management, contributing insights drawn from operational exposure.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation, filing, and tracking of all commercial matters related to agency services and vessel operations.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Business, or a related field
At least 2-3 years of working experience in ship agency operations or maritime logistics
Strong understanding of port operations and commercial procedures within ship management or ship agency contexts
Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) familiarity with budgeting/reporting tools is a plus
Effective communicator with good written and verbal English skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
