Commercial Executive

Working Conditions:

Office, Shipyard and External job inspections overseas or anchorage duties are required and to work overtime as and when require.

Responsibilities:

. Perform accurate and realistic estimate for jobs as required in tender bids.

. Study project specification(s) to understand shipyards/owner's requirements.

. Prepare material take off, cost breakdowns on price schedule format specified by customers.

. Prepare cost estimate(s), cost breakdown and cost summary based on technical/engineering inputs and customers tender requirements.

. Attends sales discussions, tender clarifications for sales follow up, making sales calls on specific projects.

. Attends ship inspection and or discussion with shipyard/owner's representative of the work scope in yard, local or overseas when required.

. Coordinate with technical and project team on technical proposal submission and enquiries.

. Conduct procurement activities for projects and yard related purchases.

. Conduct due diligence, evaluation and qualification of vendors base on organization procurement policies to ensure quality vendors are being used in the organization's supply chain.

. Keep abreast with new sources and latest developments in equipment/ materials, work processes and labour conditions in the market which may affect organization's product line.

. Liaise with different stakeholders within the organization which includes but not limited to Production, Engineering, Project Management and Marketing Departments on procurement activities and contractual matters.

. Prepare accurate a detailed invoicing to achieve fair and better contribution margins.

. Liaise with Ship yard/customer and project supervisor on all quoted and additional jobs.

. Assist HR Manager/Operation with respect to discussion of invoices for completed projects with attending ship yards.

Requirements:

. Minimum Diploma in Marine related studies.

. Minimum 2 years working experience in Shipyard or Marine related industry.

. Proficient in MS Office and MS Project if possible.

. A team player with good interpersonal skills and able to work well with both internal and external stakeholders
