Commercial Contracting Counsel, Financial Services MNC

Global organizations require experienced commercial and technology contracting support to effectively manage vendor risk while implementing large-scale operational and regulatory initiatives. This opportunity sits within the MNC bank's Commercial Legal team, supporting vendor contracts, Supply Chain Management, and key strategic projects.

They are seeking a Commercial or Technology Lawyer to provide backfill BAU coverage and assist with related initiatives. This role is well-suited to a commercially focused lawyer who can work independently, follow structured playbooks, and operate effectively in a process-driven global environment.

How will you make an impact in this role

• Your responsibilities will include:
• Commercial Contract Support. Provide backfill support on general commercial and technology vendor contracts, using templates and established playbooks.
• Risk & Deviation Management. Liaise with risk teams and prepare deviation approval tables to support contract negotiations and internal governance processes.
• Vendor Contracting. Support global vendor agreements within a structured contracting framework.
• Project Support. Assist the team during contract testing phases linked to a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool and an AI review initiative.
• Independent Workstream Management. Operate with minimal supervision while managing assigned matters efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications

• 4+ years PQE in commercial and/or technology transactions.
• Strong experience reviewing and negotiating commercial vendor contracts.
• Comfortable working from templates and established contracting playbooks.
• Experience liaising with risk, procurement, or supply chain stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage volume in a structured environment.
• Procurement experience would be a plus.
• Proven experience in CLM is highly desired.
