Commercial Bid Manager

An established clean energy investor and developer is hiring a Commercial Bid Manager to lead tender submissions for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects across the region. This is the seat that turns a tender opportunity into a winning, bankable bid - you'll own the commercial package end to end, from the first read of the RFP through to submission, working closely with business development, financial modelling and procurement along the way.

What you'll do:

• Review RFP and RFQ documents to flag commercial risk, bonding requirements and compliance obligations early
• Assess each opportunity on financial viability, competitive landscape and win probability, and advise management on whether to pursue it
• Work with business development, financial modelling and procurement to land on a bid price that's competitive without eroding margin
• Lead the full assembly of the commercial bid package, acting as the central point of contact for financial data, corporate and legal documents, and other inputs from across the business
• Ensure every commercial requirement set by the tendering authority is met in full, so submissions are never at risk of administrative rejection
• Coordinate with banks and internal finance to secure bid bonds, performance bonds and letters of credit
• Build and maintain a commercial risk matrix for each country tender, covering currency, inflation and political risk
• Align local partners and subcontractors so their commercial inputs feed cleanly into the master submission

What you'll bring:

• Strong grasp of the commercial and legal terms that shape tenders - liquidated damages, liability caps, price escalation formulas
• Working financial literacy across tariff calculations, capex/opex pricing impacts and currency hedging
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines without letting quality slip
• Strong written communication - clear, persuasive, professional proposal writing
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, quantity surveying, or engineering with a strong commercial bent
• A track record of submitting commercial bids for large infrastructure or utility-scale energy projects
