What a College Intern - Mechanical Design Engineering does at HP:
Design mechanical components and systems using CAD tools, including case parts, and mechanisms.
Perform critical design analyses such as Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and tolerance stack-up studies.

Good knowledge of mechanical design and basic understanding of electrical, sensors and programming.
Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for self-directed learning, proactively seeking out new knowledge and skills to enhance project outcomes.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CREO Elements/Direct) for creating and modifying mechanical designs.
Good analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
