I'm assisting a leading trading house in Singapore that is expanding its commercial team and looking for an experienced Coal Traderto drive regional and global trading activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end physical coal trading across APAC and international markets
- Build, grow, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, end-users, and brokers
- Execute trades with a focus on risk management, P&L optimization, and market strategy
- Conduct in-depth market research, pricing analysis, and supply-demand forecasting
- Collaborate closely with operations, finance, and risk teams to ensure smooth trade execution
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and counterparties
Requirements:
- 37+ years of experience in physical coal trading (thermal/met coal)
- Strong network across miners, utilities, cement players, and traders
- Solid understanding of shipping, freight markets, and contract negotiations
- Strong commercial mindset, analytical skills, and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Proven track record in P&L delivery
