We are seeking a skilled CNC Turn-Mill Machinist to set up, operate, and program CNC turning machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Candidate should have strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and CNC programming, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Setup & Operation
- Set up and operate CNC turn-mill machines (4-axis).
- Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and work holding.
- Adjust machine settings and offsets to ensure part accuracy.
Programming
- Create and edit CNC programs (Fanuc).
- Optimize machining processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Read and interpret CAD/CAM outputs and G/M-code.
Quality Control
- Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
- Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments (micrometres, calipers, gauges).
- Ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards.
Maintenance & Safety
- Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
- Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures.
Collaboration
- Work closely with engineers, programmers, and production teams.
- Provide feedback on design and manufacturability improvements.
- Train and guide junior machinists when required.
