CNC PROGRAMMER

Job Responsibilities:

. Create and modify CNC programs: Mastercam for lathe & Hypermill for milling,

. Manage CNC programs storage including revision update

. Create instructions for machinists e.g. Tool list and Setup sheet

. Make calculations for programming including how materials should be cut.

. Set parameters e.g. federate, cutting speed and tooling selection

. Estimate cycle time, upload/download of programs to designated machine

. Work according to production plan and to maintain operational efficiency

. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines for safe work environment

Requirements:

. Diploma in Production Engineering.

. Experience in precision metal machining

. Understand technical drawings to determine machining requirements

. Ability to design simple jig and fixtures to assist machining
