Create CNC programs for turning operations to support production needs, including the preparation of FAT and FAI orders.
Provide troubleshooting support for CNC machines, including resolving program-related issues and making adjustments when new or alternative cutters are used.
Operate and work with machines such as DMG, Mori Seiki, Mazak, and systems using Fanuc and Siemens controls.
Coordinate and manage cutting tools, including sourcing and ordering existing and new cutters from suppliers as required.
Monitor tool room staff activities, including workload, attendance, and daily scheduling.
Work closely with engineers to plan and align machining processes and methods.
Coordinate with engineers to ensure tool room schedules align with project timelines and completion targets.
Job Requirements:
Diploma / NITEC / Higher NITEC in a relevant field.
Relevant work experience and certifications.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in CNC turning programming.
Experience in tool room management or supervision.
Strong knowledge of CNC turning programming.
Hands-on programming experience with Fanuc, Mazak, and Siemens CNC controls, including ShopTurn (Siemens).
Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam).
Good understanding of tooling, inserts, cutting parameters, and materials.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with engineers and production teams.
Able to work in a fast-paced machine shop environment and manage multiple priorities.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
