Cnc Programmer Job Summary
- CNC programming 3- and 5-axis CNC mills.
- Develop new CNC programs for production runs or modify existing programs for different machines.
- Perform quality checks with the machine operator to ensure the program is producing parts according to specifications.
- Manual adjustments if required and update to existing program.
- Work with the engineers for product modifications to reduce the amount of material or fabrication time.
- Computer-aided design programs NX software.
- Maintaining of program master list and revision.
Cnc Programmer Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop CNC programs for production runs.
- Analyze drawings to determine dimensions and to choose cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates.
- Modify existing programs for different machines.
- Maintain tooling database.
- Make manual program adjustments as necessary.
- Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process.
- Support RFQ quotation fabrication process.
Cnc Programmer Requirements and Qualifications
- Diploma, GCE O ITE.
- Experience programming 3- and 5-axis CNC mills.
- Familiarity with Mastercam and NX software.
- Basic math skills
