CNC Milling Machine Setter

Job Description:

• Set up CNC milling machines, including tooling, fixtures, and work offsets.
• Load and prove out CNC programs, making edits to improve cycle times and quality.
• Select appropriate cutting tools and parameters for different materials.
• Set work offsets, tool offsets, and datum points accurately.
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspections using measuring equipment.
• Monitor machine operation and adjust settings to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Identify and resolve machining or tooling issues.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Ensure all work meets engineering drawings, tolerances, and quality.

Job Requirement:

• Strong understanding of CNC milling processes (3-axis, 4-axis or 5-axis as required)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD & T.
• Competence with measuring tools (verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, CMM preferred)
