Roles & Responsibilities

A local branch of a materials testing company has an opportunity for a Machinist to join their rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Machining position performs a variety of routine and non-routine machining assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Location: Tuas, Singapore

Job Duties:

- Machine samples using milling, grinding, manual lathe and CNC lathe machines
- Help in cutting on bandsaw as required
- Maintaining HSE and 5S standards
- Assist Supervisor in scheduling and managing work schedules as required
- Site work flexibility as and when required
- Flexibility of working timing and shift as scheduled including night shift

Job Requirements:

- More than 5 years of experience in the machine-shop will be of advantage
- Must possess Diploma or any relevant Certifications
- Flexible to work in shifts or overtime as required by business demands
- Depth of understanding related to machining concepts, measuring instruments and dimensional concepts
- Working knowledge of machine shop safety protocol & 5S requirements
- Flexible to work in other departments & on-site (if required)
