Responsibilities
- Report to the Machineshop Supervisor/Leader for daily work assignments and updates. Achieve production targets by efficiently setting up and operating lathe machines. Ensure the quality of produced parts through self-inspection of finished workpieces. Prepare and arrange raw materials, tooling, and fixtures for subsequent machining processes. Maintain excellent housekeeping and uphold safety standards, including general machine maintenance. Perform Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) activities, such as cleaning, inspection, and lubrication. Be flexible to work rotating shifts, including weekends, on short notice. Actively engage in development and improvement initiatives related to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) matters, including hazard and incident identification and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with HSE policies, objectives, and local legal requirements. Carry out additional duties as reasonably assigned.
Requirements
- Relevant Industrial Training Certification or NTC3 equivalent. Familiarity and competence in using precision measuring instruments. Proven experience in machining operations with a strong emphasis on quality and safety. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to operational efficiency.
