Job Summary
You will operate and maintain CNC machines to ensure efficient production output, perform machine setup and adjustments, interpret product drawings, and support training of junior machinists.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC and manual machines to meet production targets and quality standards
- Perform daily maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly and safely
- Set up CNC lathes independently, including threading and first article inspection
- Use appropriate tools and gauges to perform threading and machining processes accurately
- Adjust machine processes and tooling to optimize cycle time and maintain process control
- Edit CNC programs on the shop floor to improve machining efficiency
- Perform mathematical calculations to produce precise angles as required by product specifications
- Interpret and apply product drawings to produce parts that meet design requirements
- Be Independent at work
Required competencies and certifications
- ITE, NITEC, or equivalent certification
- Proficiency in English to understand safety procedures, machine manuals, and production requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist with metal removal on various machines
