Job Summary
We are seeking a System Administrator to support the infrastructure of an analytics platform. This includes management of backend services in cloud environments and data management solutions like Snowflake and AWS RDS. It also includes web application management and monitoring leveraging cloud-based serverless solutions. The ideal candidate can troubleshoot full-stack issues, support customer-facing teams, interact professionally with web application users and keep services running reliably. Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain health of cloud infrastructure
Investigate infrastructure-related issues affecting React-based frontend applications, and support reliability of python-based backend services
Work with support and engineering teams to troubleshoot customer-reported issues.
Monitoring logs and metrics to diagnose issues across the full application stack
Monitor the performance and stability of data, pipelines and associated data management solutions
Manage system tasks like user access management, access controls, backup processes, and environment configurations.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience administering containerized applications and microservices
Familiarity with frontend hosting platforms like AWS Amplify or Vercel
Ability to diagnose and document issues connecting the dots between backend services and frontend behavior
Proficient with monitoring/logging tools and interpreting metrics e.g. AWS CloudWatch and Datadog
Experience supporting or monitoring Snowflake, RDS, AWS Aurora or similar data management tools
Strong written communication skills for working with non-technical teams.
General Requirements
3+ years in system administration, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure support
Experience in cloud-native SaaS environments with production responsibilities
Self-directed and able to manage priorities in a remote, asynchronous team
Able to participate in an on-call rotation as needed
