Cloud Security Engineer

We, in partnership with a fast-growing digital financial services firm, are hiring a Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen security across modern cloud platforms and shared technology services. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who enjoys improving cloud controls, working closely with engineering teams, and building scalable security capabilities in a regulated environment. This is a permanent role, based in Singapore.

Responsibilities of a Cloud Security Engineer include but are not limited to:

• Design and roll out security measures for cloud environments, with a focus on identity controls, visibility, configuration hardening, and protection of critical services
• Partner with platform and engineering teams to review solution designs, highlight security gaps, and support secure implementation across cloud-native workloads.
• Build and improve automation for cloud security operations, including control deployment, alerting, remediation workflows, and policy enforcement
• Support investigations, response activities, and technical reviews for cloud-related threats, incidents, and control weaknesses
• Contribute to security standards, governance, and regulatory readiness by aligning cloud practices with internal policies and industry expectations

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cyber security, with strong depth in cloud security, security engineering, or platform security roles.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS security capabilities and strong knowledge of cloud security design, access management, logging, and workload protection
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar DevSecOps toolsets.
• Good understanding of container and cloud networking concepts, including Kubernetes, segmentation, and secure connectivity patterns
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in financial services or other highly regulated environments.
