Role Overview
We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen and protect our AWS environment. In this role, you will be responsible for uncovering security gaps, validating risks, and implementing remediation measures to ensure a secure and compliant cloud ecosystem. You will work closely with technical teams to enhance defensive capabilities and safeguard critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine vulnerability assessments, configuration reviews, and security scans across AWS-hosted workloads.
- Apply AWS security best practices, including hardening IAM policies, optimizing security groups, and maintaining vulnerability management tools such as Tenable.
- Build and improve automation scripts to streamline vulnerability scanning, reporting, and alerting processes.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and operations teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen system security.
- Continuously monitor industry developments, AWS security updates, and threat intelligence to improve overall cloud security posture.
- Produce clear and comprehensive documentation detailing vulnerabilities, analysis, remediation steps, and compliance evidence.
What You Bring
- Hands-on experience in cloud security, particularly within AWS environments.
- Strong understanding of security fundamentals, vulnerability management, and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with Tenable and core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
- Experience working with vulnerability assessment tools and security monitoring solutions.
- Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- AWS or RHEL-related certifications will be considered an advantage.
