About the role

The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and operating security controls that protect the company's SaaS platforms. This role ensures cloud infrastructure, data, and applications are secure, resilient, and compliant by embedding security into architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and day-to-day operations. The engineer monitors for threats, responds to incidents, manages risk, and partners closely with engineering teams to enable secure product development while supporting regulatory, customer, and business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the architecture team to design secure-by-default cloud infrastructure
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) - roles, users, policies, and access reviews
• Security automation and DevSecOps integration - security in the CI/CD pipelines, enforcing secure configurations and scanning.
• Monitoring, detection and incident response log configuration, alert management and incident response and investigation.
• Data protection and encryption at rest and in transit, secrets management and data loss prevention controls
• Vulnerability management and security hardening scanning and patching, security reviews and configuration improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field, or demonstrable real world experience.
• 3+ years in IT, cloud, DevOps, or security roles, with 2+ years experience in AWS environments.
• Evidence of cloud-native security certifications, preferably AWS specific.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
