Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure architectures across multi-cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Nutanix, VMware).
  • Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Conduct security assessments, audits, and risk analyses for cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and development teams to integrate security into all stages of projects and deployments.
  • Monitor and respond to cloud security incidents, threats, and vulnerabilities.
  • Provide guidance and training on cloud security best practices to internal teams.
  • Evaluate third-party services, perform threat modeling, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and security frameworks to enhance overall cloud security posture.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and modern attack and defense strategies.
  • Proficient with cloud-native and infrastructure technologies (networking, storage, microservices, zero trust, big data, LLM).
  • Experienced in container and serverless security (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Skilled in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Node.js) for code reviews and security audits.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (CIS Benchmarks, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional security teams.
  • Professional certifications such as CISM, CEH, or CRISC preferred.

Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners).
  • Ability to perform risk assessments and develop security and compliance plans.
  • Familiar with regulatory compliance and audit processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.
  • Prior consulting experience, especially within Whole-of-Government (WOG) environments, is an advantage.
