Role Overview
We are looking for a driven and skilled Cloud Operationd Engineer with a strong focus on automation and cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and managing AWS environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools to enhance system security, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, GitLab, Ansible, and related technologies.
- Enhance and maintain AWS Control Tower and Landing Zone pipelines, workflows, Lambda functions, and CloudFormation stacks.
- Drive operational excellence by automating recurring tasks using AWS-native services including Lambda, Step Functions, and AWS Systems Manager.
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Project Managers, Technical Leads, and application teams to ensure automation aligns with business and technical requirements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to AWS infrastructure and services.
- Implement and maintain cloud security controls and best practices to safeguard AWS resources.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience supporting RHEL-based environments.
- Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, GitLab, and CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools, including Ansible and shell scripting.
- Strong proficiency with AWS automation services such as Lambda, Step Functions, and AWS Systems Manager.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Solid understanding of AWS security principles, controls, and best practices.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) are an advantage.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
