We need a skilled Cloud Maintenance Engineer to keep our cloud systems running safely and smoothly. You will manage our virtual machines using VMware and our container systems using Kubernetes. The role will require to fix problems, upgrade systems, and make sure the apps stay online 24/7.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor cloud servers, networks, and storage every day to spot problems early.
- Build, patch, and fix VMware environments, including ESXi and vCenter.
- Deploy, update, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters (groups of computers working together to run container apps).
- Fix urgent system crashes and finish root-cause analysis reports.
- Write scripts using Python or Bash to automate boring or repetitive daily tasks.
- Apply security patches, update firewalls, and follow strict data safety rules.
- Test disaster recovery plans to make sure data is safe if a server fails.
Key Requirements
- 6 to 8 years working in IT infrastructure, cloud operations, or site reliability.
- Deep knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, and virtual storage setups.
- Strong hands-on experience managing production Kubernetes clusters, pods, and ingress controllers.
- Expert knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, RedHat) and Windows Server administration.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Preferred professional certificates like VMware VCP or Certified Kubernetes Administrator
