Job Description: Cloud Lead (Alibaba Cloud) – Singapore (12-Month Contract)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Lead with deep expertise in Alibaba Cloud (AliCloud) to lead cloud initiatives, architecture, and delivery for enterprise-scale projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership, hands-on experience, and the ability to drive cloud transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of solutions on Alibaba Cloud
- Drive cloud strategy, governance, and best practices across projects
- Manage end-to-end cloud migration and modernization initiatives
- Ensure system scalability, performance, security, and cost optimization
- Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to deliver solutions
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members
- Establish CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and DevOps practices
- Monitor cloud environments and implement proactive improvements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years on Alibaba Cloud (AliCloud)
- Strong knowledge of Alibaba Cloud services (ECS, OSS, VPC, RDS, ACK, etc.)
- Experience in cloud architecture, migration, and hybrid cloud environments
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/ROS)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Alibaba Cloud certifications
- Experience in multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure alongside AliCloud)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell)
- Prior experience in leading distributed teams
