Responsibilities
- Cloud Network Architecture and Design: Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure connectivity.
- Automation of Cloud Infrastructure: Develop and implement automated workflows for network provisioning, configuration management, and cloud-based infrastructure operations using tools like Ansible, Terraform, andscripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Cloud Networking and Connectivity: Implement and maintain cloud networking solutions such as Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), VPN, SD-WAN, MPLS, and hybrid-cloud connectivity to ensure high availability and optimizedperformance.
- Network Performance and Security: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the security and integrity of cloud network infrastructure. This includes working with firewalls, load balancers, DNS services, and secure access controls.
- Automation and Orchestration: Lead the automation of network-related tasks such as network configuration, service provisioning, and monitoring. Automate repetitive processes and workflows to streamline cloud infrastructure management.
- Collaboration and SLA Management: Work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and cloud service providers to ensure the successful delivery and support of network services that meet defined SLAs and operational requirements.
- Cloud Infrastructure Enhancements: Continuously monitor cloud infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and implement network optimizations and automation solutions to increase efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain clear and accurate documentation for network configurations, cloud infrastructure architecture, automated workflows, and system processes.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Provide troubleshooting and post-implementation support for cloud network-related issues, working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in network engineering, cloud infrastructure, or automation roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud-based networking solutions such as VPC, VPN, SD-WAN, and hybrid-cloud connectivity.
- Expertise in cloud automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, and experience scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate network and infrastructure tasks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on networking and automation services.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native networking technologies including load balancing, firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower), and DNSmanagement.
- Proven experience in network performance tuning and troubleshooting in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes) and microservices architectures is a plus.
- Ability to develop infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions for the cloud and automate complex workflows.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent time management skills, able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, Cisco CCNA,JNCIA-Junos, or CompTIA Network+.
- Experience in deploying, automating, and managing large-scale cloud infrastructures with a focus on network automation.
- Familiarity with Government ICT environments and cloud-based hosting solutions.
- Experience in implementing network automation in multi-cloud environments and hybrid infrastructures.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and solutions for cloud-based infrastructure.
