Job Description:
An essential role to manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions for applications. This position combines cloud engineering expertise with cybersecurity responsibilities, working closely with application teams to deliver secure, high-performance solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage compute, storage, and networking resources across AWS and Azure platforms
- Implement and maintain high-availability configurations to ensure optimal performance and deployment
- Optimise cloud infrastructure costs through strategic resource management and architectural improvements
- Provide comprehensive support to application team in compliance activities, such as account access reviews, security log analysis, vulnerability scanning, compliance verification, and backup recovery exercise
- Maintain security scorecards and oversee vulnerability remediation activities
- Coordinate and support security tabletop exercises and bug bounty programmes for selected systems
- Manage end-to-end certificate lifecycle processes (such as CSR, KEY, CER, PEM, PFS, P7B, SSL) for application domains
- Provide expert guidance on secure integration between application services and cloud infrastructure
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines incorporating DevSecOps principles for secure deployments and automated rollback capabilities
- Collaborate on application project initiatives and assume system responsibilities as directed
- Act as technical liaison between application and infrastructure, security teams
Technical Capabilities Required:
- Proficiency in AWS, Azure platforms in GCC/GCC+ environments
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, virtualization, and storage concepts
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevSecOps methodologies
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and risk management of IM8, GovTech, and MHA/HTX policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and security credentials (CISSP, CISM, CISA or equivalent)
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in cloud infrastructure engineering with demonstrated security governance and compliance management
- Hands-on experience supporting application teams to deliver secure, scalable systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across diverse stakeholder groups
- Ability to perform vulnerability assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Expertise in operational excellence, identity & certificate management, security engineering practices.
- Familiarity with Government compliance preferred
- Knowledge of application lifecycle, governance processes, and integration with cloud services.
