We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer with strong Unix/Linux Administration expertise to support and manage cloud-based and hybrid infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Linux system administration, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), automation, monitoring, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and support Unix/Linux server environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.
- Design, deploy, and administer cloud infrastructure services on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
- Perform system installation, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Monitor system health, performance, availability, and security using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Troubleshoot complex operating system, cloud infrastructure, networking, and application issues.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity solutions.
- Collaborate with application, security, network, and DevOps teams to support production environments.
- Support cloud migration and infrastructure transformation projects.
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Unix/Linux Administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Oracle Linux, SUSE, Ubuntu).
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, shell scripting, user management, filesystem management, and performance tuning.
- Experience with cloud services including Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM, and Monitoring.
- Knowledge of automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Understanding of virtualization and container technologies such as VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or ELK Stack.
- Familiarity with networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancers, VPNs, and Firewalls.
- Experience supporting mission-critical production environments and resolving high-severity incidents.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
