Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS/Azure/GCP.

• Manage cloud resources including compute, storage, networking, and security services.

• Automate provisioning and deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.

• Build and support CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Monitor system performance, availability, and cost optimization across cloud environments.

• Implement cloud security best practices, IAM policies, encryption, and compliance controls.

• Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams for cloud-native application deployment.

• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents and outages.

• Support migration of on-premise workloads to cloud platforms.

• Maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or cloud infrastructure roles.

• Strong expertise in at least one major cloud platform:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Microsoft Azure

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools:

  • Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift

• Hands-on knowledge of networking concepts:

  • VPC, Subnets, Load Balancers, VPN, DNS, Firewalls

• Strong scripting skills in:

  • Python, Bash, PowerShell

• Experience with monitoring tools:

  • CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and Agile methodology.

Preferred Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect / SysOps Administrator

• Microsoft Azure Administrator / Architect

• Google Professional Cloud Engineer

• Kubernetes Certification (CKA/CKAD)
