Cloud Engineer

This is a project-based, delivery focused role on cloud operations and cloud implementation activities within a large-scale enterprise environment. You will be part of a delivery team supporting mission-critical cloud platforms, executing daily cloud operations while also contributing to cloud implementation, migration, and optimisation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on cloud experience, strong delivery exposure, and the ability to work effectively in a structured project environment with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day cloud operations, including monitoring, administration, incident handling, and issue resolution
• Support cloud implementation projects, pilots, and operational improvements
• Operate and administer cloud infrastructure, ensuring high standards of performance, security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Ensure configurations align with approved architecture and design documentation
• Apply automation-by-default principles in new and existing cloud environments
• Codify, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation (advantageous)
• Participate in cloud migration activities, including VM and database migrations using tools such as CloudEndure and Azure Migrate (experience with 20+ VMs preferred)
• Collaborate with project team members to support client operational meetings, technical discussions, and process improvement initiatives
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within agreed SLA timelines, ensuring proper documentation and root cause analysis
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the delivery team

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience in cloud operations and delivery roles
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure administration (AWS / Azure / GCP – one or more)
• Experience supporting enterprise or project-based cloud environments
• Knowledge of cloud security, performance tuning, and operational best practices
• Familiarity with automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts
• Experience participating in cloud migration projects
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred / Advantageous Skills

• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise cloud platforms
• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience working in managed services, IT service delivery, or project-based environments
