Role Description
The Cloud Engineer / Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure solutions to support scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise technology environments. This role focuses on cloud architecture, infrastructure modernization, system integration, automation, and operational reliability while supporting digital transformation and business continuity initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and managing cloud infrastructure architectures across public, private, or hybrid cloud environments
- Developing scalable cloud solutions, infrastructure automation frameworks, and enterprise modernization strategies
- Monitoring cloud KPIs, infrastructure performance metrics, system availability indicators, and operational efficiency outcomes
- Collaborating with DevOps, cybersecurity, engineering, operations, and product teams on cloud-related initiatives
- Supporting cloud migration projects, workload optimization, virtualization, and containerization activities
- Managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, automation workflows, and cloud deployment processes
- Conducting troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization for cloud platforms and enterprise systems
- Implementing cloud security governance, identity management controls, backup strategies, and disaster recovery solutions
- Preparing technical documentation, architecture reports, and strategic recommendations for leadership and engineering teams
- Driving process improvement, automation, and operational scalability initiatives across cloud operations and infrastructure functions
- Managing vendor relationships, cloud service providers, licensing coordination, and infrastructure procurement activities
- Staying updated on cloud technologies, enterprise architecture trends, cybersecurity standards, and emerging infrastructure innovations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Professional certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, or equivalent are highly advantageous
- 4–10 years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud architecture, infrastructure operations, or enterprise technology roles
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, virtualization, storage systems, and enterprise infrastructure management
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, automation tools, and DevOps methodologies
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows server administration, monitoring tools, and cloud security frameworks is advantageous
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple cloud initiatives and enterprise infrastructure priorities effectively
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, healthcare, logistics, telecommunications, retail, manufacturing, or multinational enterprise environments is an advantage
