Job Summary
We are seeking a Cloud Developer with strong expertise in Terraform and AWS to design, implement, and manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions for cloud-based systems. This role will act as the subject matter expert for Terraform on AWS, collaborating with application, security, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure a secure, reliable, and high-performing cloud environment within MAS. The ideal candidate brings deep Terraform expertise, strong knowledge of AWS services, and a proven ability to architect and manage large-scale cloud infrastructure through code.

Key Responsibilities
a. Design, develop, and maintain reusable, scalable Terraform modules and configurations for AWS infrastructure, aligned with best practices.
b. Collaborate with application, security, and internal teams to translate business requirements into robust Terraform-driven infrastructure solutions.
c. Implement and manage AWS Landing Zones using Terraform, ensuring secure, standardised, and compliant multi-account environments.
d. Continuously optimise cloud infrastructure through advanced Terraform automation to enhance availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
e. Define and maintain Terraform state management strategies, including remote backends, state locking, and disaster recovery processes.
f. Embed security controls and compliance requirements within Terraform code, adhering to AWS security best practices and regulatory standards.
g. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, coding standards, and reusable infrastructure modules.
h. Provide technical leadership, including mentorship, code reviews, and guidance on Terraform best practices and design patterns.
i. Troubleshoot complex Terraform deployments and AWS infrastructure issues, implementing long-term fixes to prevent recurrence.
j. Stay up to date with Terraform advancements, AWS service updates, and emerging IaC trends.

What We Are Looking For
k. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
l. Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform, including advanced capabilities such as modules, workspaces, providers, and state management.
m. Deep expertise in AWS services and architecture, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and AWS Organizations.
n. Proven experience implementing AWS Landing Zones and multi-account architectures using Terraform.
o. Strong proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python and Bash, for automation and Terraform integration.
p. Solid understanding of AWS security services, compliance frameworks, and infrastructure security best practices.
q. Experience with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
r. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex infrastructure issues and optimise Terraform performance.
