Position Summary
The Cloud Architect will lead the design, migration, and optimization of JSC's IT infrastructure from on-premise environments to secure and scalable cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or hybrid environments).
This role will support core business systems including ERP, inventory management, end-client warehouse operations, finance systems, and regional trade operations. The Cloud Architect will ensure high availability, security, cost optimization, and scalability to support international import/export activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cloud Strategy & Architecture
- Develop and implement a cloud roadmap aligned with business growth, regional expansion, and digital transformation goals.
- Assess current infrastructure, ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and related applications for cloud readiness.
- Design secure, scalable cloud architecture supporting multi-site offices and warehouses.
- Establish governance, cost management, and cloud security best practices.
2. Cloud Migration & Implementation
- Lead end-to-end migration of servers, databases, ERP, and business-critical applications from on-premise to cloud.
- Utilize tools such as Azure Migrate, AWS Migration Hub, and database migration services.
- Configure compute, storage, networking, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Implement hybrid connectivity between HQ, warehouses, and regional offices.
3. Security, Compliance & Business Continuity
- Implement cloud security controls including IAM, encryption, firewall policies, and network segmentation.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., PDPA and international trade data security standards).
- Design and manage disaster recovery (DR) and backup strategies to ensure business continuity for supply chain operations.
4. Optimization & Operations
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation) for automation.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to IT team members and external vendors.
- Support integration with logistics partners, EDI systems, and supplier platforms where required.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud services.
- Experience with ERP system hosting and migration (e.g., SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems).
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation).
- Knowledge of networking (VPN, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, firewalls, DNS, load balancing).
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability architecture.
- Familiarity with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Database migration experience (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
Professional Experience
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or cloud architecture.
- 5+ years leading cloud migration or hybrid cloud projects.
- Experience in manufacturing, trading, logistics, or distribution industries is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting multi-location or regional operations is a plus.
