Cloud Architect

We are partnering with an organisation within financial services to look for an experienced Cloud Architect to drive the design, governance, and modernization of a large-scale hybrid cloud environment.

Responsibilities

Architect secure, scalable cloud and hybrid solutions to meet business and regulatory needs.

Lead modernization and migration of on-premise workloads to Azure.

Review and approve technical and security configurations for new cloud services.

Partner with engineering and application teams to implement best practices for cost, performance, and resilience.

Establish reusable templates and automation practices using Infrastructure-as-Code tools.

Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend adoption where suitable.

Coach and mentor engineers, promoting architectural discipline and operational excellence.

Ensure compliance with internal standards and industry regulations across all environments.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

8 years of experience in cloud architecture for complex enterprise environments.

Strong background in Microsoft Azure with exposure to hybrid cloud architectures.

Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Familiar with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
