Clinical Research Coordinator, Emergency Medicine

Overview

Reporting to the Emergency Medicine Department Research Director, you will support the conduct

of clinical research studies across multiple hospitals. You will work closely with investigators,

clinicians and research teams to identify eligible patients, obtain informed consent, collect clinical

data, and ensure studies are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and

regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following:

• Screen and identify eligible patients for studies at participating hospitals

• Approach potential participants and conduct informed consent process in accordance with

approved study protocols and ethical guidelines

• Enroll participants into clinical studies and maintain accurate logs

• Collect data from medical records and other study procedures

• Coordinate and liaise with study team and hospital staff to ensure smooth study operations

• Assist with study-related activities

• Travel regularly to participating hospitals across Singapore to support study activities

• Be comfortable managing blood specimens

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of case report forms and electronic data collection

system

• Maintain essential study documents and investigator site files

• Ensure compliance with GCP and IRB requirements

• Prepare for audits and monitoring

• Perform cross-monitoring training for clinical trials and maintenance of investigator site files,

if required

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science, Molecular Biology or related fields

• Previous experience in clinical research, obtaining informed consent and database

management

• Knowledge of database maintenance (Excel, REDCap)

• Ability to process blood specimen (centrifugation, extraction and separation of blood

components)

• Basic statistical analysis
