Job Description

Petite Practice is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinic Nurse Manager to lead our clinical and administrative team. This role is pivotal in managing the daily operations of our paediatric specialist clinic, ensuring the highest standards of clinicalquality, patient safety, and operational efficiency

Job Purpose

As the Clinic Nurse Manager, you will oversee the daily clinical and business operations of the practice. Your primary goal is to foster a safe, conducive environment for paediatric care while managing staff development, resource allocation, and clinical risk. You will ensure that every patient and family receives quality care that adheres to established protocols and nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Leadership & Patient Care

  • Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of nurses and administrative staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Ensure sufficient training and educational opportunities are made available to staff for their growth and development and to meet SNB continuing professional development requirements. Ensure a framework for succession planning is in place.
  • Direct Support: Chaperone and assist doctors during examinations and specialized procedures.
  • Clinical Procedures: Mentor nursing staff and perform venepuncture, IV cannula insertion, immunizations, nebulization's, and skin prick testing as required.
  • Patient Advocacy: Act as a counsellor and educator for patients and their families, utilizing the SBAR technique for clear communication.

Operations & Resource Management

  • Scheduling: Manage the rosters for doctors and the nursing/admin team to ensure optimal clinic operations at all times.
  • Frontline Oversight: Oversee patient registration, appointment booking, payments, and financial counselling. Ensure SOP's are in place to ensure patient safety and smooth running of the clinic at all times.
  • Inventory Control: Ensure there are optimal stock levels of pharmaceutical and medical supplies. The clinic manager is accountable for stock taking, all stock ordering and for maintaining stock levels that are adequate for the clinic to run smoothly and safely.
  • Workflow Optimization: Regularly review and update clinic standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe and efficient workflows.

Financial & People Management

  • Banking: Ensure all collected payments and invoices and reconciled against the clinic operating system at the end of each day. Follow up on missing payments and adjust the end of day banking accordingly to ensure accuracy of clinic accounting.
  • HR Duties: Assist with manpower requirements, including recruitment, orientation, induction, and performance appraisals for the nursing team. Performance mange staff when required and put in place open channels of communication within the team.
  • Marketing: Assist in developing ideas for patient retention and clinic growth through planned marketing efforts.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Registration: Must be a Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.
  • Education: Diploma in Nursing is essential a Degree in Nursing is highly desirable.
  • Certification: Valid BCLS & AED Certification.

Experience & Skills

  • Work History: Minimum 5 years of experience in an outpatient specialist clinic or healthcare setting.
  • Leadership: At least 2 years of experience in a senior staff nurse or charge nurse role. Management and operational experience desirable.
  • Competencies: Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills. Able to manage IT systems with easy.

Reporting Relationship

This position reports tothe director and lead clinician (Doctor). You will have direct oversight of allRegistered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and Administrative Staff.
