Job Description

What you'll do

As a key member of a growing Risk practice, you will design and implement cutting-edge solutions that integrate sustainability into the core of financial decision-making. You'll work with leading banks and financial institutions globally, translating climate and ESG complexities into strategic, quantifiable insights.

  • Develop & Quantify: Design and implement methodologies to assess physical and transition climate risks (aligned with TCFD, TNFD), calculate financed emissions (e.g., PCAF), and develop decarbonisation pathways (e.g., SBTi, PACTA) for financial portfolios.
  • Integrate & Transform: Support clients in embedding ESG and climate risks into their risk management frameworks (ICAAP, stress testing) and strategic steering, ensuring alignment with both local and international expectations.
  • Navigate & Advise: Guide clients through the complex global and regional regulatory landscape, including Singapore's MAS guidelines on environmental risk management, ASEAN Taxonomy, and global frameworks like ISSB standards, TCFD, and the EU Taxonomy (for institutions with cross-border operations).
  • Deliver & Innovate: Lead high-impact consulting projects, from climate risk quantification using advanced analytics to the development of transition plans and ESG data governance strategies.
  • Engage & Influence: Translate complex analytical results into actionable insights for senior stakeholders across the APAC region, facilitating workshops and training sessions.

What you'll need

  • A post-graduate degree in a quantitative, finance, risk, or sustainability-related field. Professional qualifications (CFA, FRM, GARP's Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) Certificate) are a strong plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in banking, financial services, or management consultancy within the APAC region, with a proven track record in risk, finance, or strategy.
  • Demonstrable project experience in ESG/Climate Risk, such as: Climate Risk Stress Testing, ICAAP integration, calculating emissions (PCAF), setting decarbonisation targets (SBTi), and/or sustainability reporting.
  • Strong understanding of the prudential and regulatory landscape in Singapore and key APAC markets. Knowledge of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) guidelines on environmental risk is essential. Familiarity with the ASEAN Taxonomy, ISSB, TCFD/TNFD, and EU regulations (for global banks) is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency with data analysis (Python, R, SQL) and an ability to work with complex models and datasets.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse, senior audiences across cultural contexts in APAC.
  • A commercial, entrepreneurial mindset, with an interest in contributing to business development in a growing boutique firm.
  • Ability to lead workstreams and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight timelines.
