Client Tech Engineer - Digital Asset Exchange

About the Role

As a Tech Engineer, you will be part of the Technology team, focusing on client-facing technical support, particularly in connectivity and conformance testing. This role is ideal for someone with a software engineering mindset who enjoys working with APIs and engaging with external technical teams. You will not be required to travel, and while vendor management experience is a plus, it is not a core requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a technical liaison between clients and internal teams.
• Understand client connectivity requirements and provide hands-on support for integration and conformance testing.
• Manage and resolve technical queries from clients engineering teams.
• Support and troubleshoot API integrations, especially FIX protocol-based connectivity.
• Contribute to internal development tasks when not engaged in client support.
• Maintain documentation of client interactions and technical resolutions.
• Stay informed on relevant technologies and protocols.
  
  

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience & Skills:

• 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Node.js, Java, React, or Angular) on AWS.
• Strong working knowledge of FIX protocol (v4.2+).
• Familiarity with networking concepts (e.g., UDP vs HTTPS).
• Can-do attitude with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of REST, WebSocket, and Binary protocols is a plus.
• Exposure to financial exchange systems, trading, or blockchain is advantageous.
